Adam is one of several artists featured in Slash: Paper Under the Knife who studied traditional fine arts and moved towards the gestural cutting, or "drawing with the knife." For these artists, the combination of paper as a medium and dynamic painterly action of cutting, shredding, tearing or burning enables them to draw in 3D.
