Sixteenth and seventeenth-century European cabinets of Curiosities focused on rigorously arranging and cataloging specific types of objects, even those they did not fully understand. Loca Miraculi features some of the most important artifacts in the history of English pottery-making. Revealed in the drawers within are diverse images and objects that link the everyday ceramics on display with significant scientific discoveries, artistic endevors, and cultural trends of the last five hundred years.
Loca Miraculi is an exhibition at the Milwaukee Art Museum.

The Intriguing collections of art Martha Glowacki created, allowed me to understand the unusual ideals of art, design and science. Through the Renaissance period the artifacts enter twined with one another and made me realize the cultural aspect behind the art. The artifacts were used to open the minds of many explorers and philosophers; it educated people to learn more about the world. The artifacts of every day supplies combined with art began the tradition of imagination through modern museums of today.
The Loca Miracvli/Rooms of Wonder is the perfect example in keeping the traditions of cultural artifacts to educate the viewers about the wonders of the world. Through the unique style of creating art out of antique furniture opened my eyes in understanding that art transforms and evolves. The cabinet of curiosity demonstrates how art always changes and becomes more thought provoking. The way in which the cabinets were design allowed me to see how science played a big role in creating them. The cabinet of curiosity brought together science and the amazement in the world to show the aspects of different cultures. The historical objects inside the different cabinets showed the mystories of the world. Therefore, the historical artifacts from all over the world are portraited as natural art that reveal interesting stories.
