00:00:05 Hi, I am Robert Lang. We are here in the Star Studio in the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Today, we are going to fold a duck.

00:00:14 So, we'll start with the paper oriented like a diamond. I will fold it in half, along the diagonal

00:00:34 and then unfold it

00:00:44 and then we will turn it over from side to side.

00:00:47 Now, we are going to bring this edge in to lie along the diagonal

00:01:12 and the other edge to meet.

00:01:34 Turn it over.

00:01:42 Now, we will bring this corner over to that edge,

00:02:10 and then we will bring the corner to the middle of the edge again,

00:02:30 we unfold, bring the corner to the fold we just made

00:02:45 and then fold a little bit back

00:02:55 so that the paper makes a zigzag,

00:03:04 and we will bring this assembly together.

00:03:17 Next, we will turn the paper over

00:03:25 and we will fold everything in half,

00:03:34 all the layers together.

00:03:46 Now, with one hand, we will hold down near the bottom, with the other we will grab this flap which is the neck

00:04:02 and we are going to pivot it upward so that this angle is about forty-five degrees relative to this angle

00:04:14 and then squeeze it in half, set it down, and flatten,

00:04:27 that makes a neck.

00:04:33 and we are going to pivot it upward so that this angle is about forty-five degrees relative to this angle

00:04:44 and then squeeze it in half, set it down, and flatten,

00:04:53 that makes a neck.

00:04:56 Now, we'll hold that in one hand. We will grab the head with the other, and we pivot it up

00:05:05 and then pinch the back of it, set it down to make a head.

00:05:17 Now, we'll hold that in one hand. We will grab the head with the other, and we pivot it up

00:05:25 and then pinch the back of it, set it down to make a head.

00:05:40 We take the straight edge

00:05:46 and fold it up so that it lies along the back.

00:06:07 We will turn the paper over, we will do the same thing on the other side,

00:06:28 and we have a finished duck.
