The Cinema Series, directed by Meredith Danluck, is a collection of short films that explore the tropes and narrative expectations of cinema. Part 2 takes us to the moment we have all been waiting for, the culmination of emotion, the consummation of desire: The Kiss. Drawing from classic Hollywood imagery, The Kiss depicts a pair of lovers locked in an embrace of eternal love, a moment which touches upon the beauty as well as the inherent absurdity and narcissism in conventional screen romance.
