In conjunction with the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles' 2008 exhibition Allan Kaprow-Art as Life, MCASD worked with a group of local students and young artists to present the reinvention of two 1969 Kaprow Happenings -- Pose and Giveaway -- throughout downtown San Diego in May 2008. For POSE, the premise was simple: "Place a chair. Sit in it. Take a picture. Leave the picture."

Why do these people make the art they do?
The reason why the people make the art they do in this video is for the fun and excitement that is involved in doing it! By "fun and excitement" I mean, pure joy that comes from doing what you love. It is obvious these artists love what they are doing.
They love the innovation of the chair pose. The artist use all different kinds of chairs as their media. Wooden chairs, beach chairs, stools, wicker chairs, plastic chairs and many others!
The artist make the art they do for pure excitement! If someone finds something they love to do, then they should stick to it! For example, when the police came and kind of interrupted what they were doing, they still continued and even convinced the police to join in! There excitement is shown when the invite other people from off the streets to pose in their photos. Excitement is also shown when the artist decide to leave their photos on the ground for other passer-byers to see!
I've seen your work at the childrens museum in San Diego. It's so imaginative and stimulates wonderment.
