Celebrated American sculptor Robert Gober discusses the work of Forrest Bess and curatorial practice with Elisabeth Sussman, curator and Sondra Gilman Curator of Photography at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Sussman's recent exhibitions include Paul Thek: Diver, A Retrospective; Gordon Matta-Clark: "You Are the Measure;" and a retrospective of the artist Eva Hesse. She also included Gober's exhibition of paintings by Bess in her presentation of the 2012 Whitney Biennial. Gober has represented the US at the Venice Biennale and has had one-person exhibitions at MOCA, Los Angeles; the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; the Serpentine Gallery, London; and the Schaulager, Basel.
