In this public program, held at the Guggenheim Museum as part of Under the Same Sun: Art from Latin America Today, Tania Bruguera and Karen Finley discuss their work in performance art in relation to the national and cultural contexts in which they operate. They explore ideas around politics and subversion, censorship and the market, feminism and the body. Bruguera details, for example, her interest in immigration, while Finley talks about her focus on sexuality.
