Artist Beatriz Santiago Muñoz discusses her video artwork, The Black Cave (La Cueva Negra) from the context of place, body, and history. She describes the location where it was filmed, Paso del Indio, an indigenous burial ground in Puerto Rico that was discovered during the construction of a highway and her chance encounter with two brothers, who became the key protagonists of the video. Seeing the work installed at Museo Jumex, she also mentions linkages with other works within the Under the Same Sun exhibition.
