Mark Matthews is renowned for the impressive range of techniques he uses to produce complex geometric patterns and realistic interpretations of animal pelts within glass spheres. For his marbles, Matthews draws heavily from historical influences that span the 3,500-year history of glassmaking. The film, by Academy and Emmy award-winning documentary filmmaker Robin Lehman, was made at The Studio, the glassmaking school of The Corning Museum of Glass.
