Inspired by Phantoms of Asia, this MATCHA event looks at how the living interact with the spirit world. Our special guest is Dohee Lee, currently an artist in residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts. She will reveal excerpts from her work-in-progress, Mago, which layers installation, music, dance, animation, and ritual with Korean traditional art forms and shamanism. http://artbabble.org/video/asian-art/matcha-shamanism-artist-dohee-lee#comments Dohee Lee Performance Art Asian Art Contemporary Art Performance Spirituality Asian Art Museum http://artbabble.org/sites/default/files/bvideos/54/54e087fbad77da71/poster-image-05.jpg 54e087fbad77da71 Mon, 29 Oct 2012 22:51:36 +0000 Asian Art Museum 9651 at http://artbabble.org The Glitters http://artbabble.org/video/asian-art/glitters <div class="field field-type-nodereference field-field-series"> <div class="field-label">Series:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <a href="/series/phantoms-arise">Phantoms Arise!</a> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-nodereference field-field-institution"> <div class="field-label">Institution:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <a href="/partner/asian-art-museum">Asian Art Museum</a> </div> </div> </div> Justin Chin reads a poem he wrote in response to the artwork, "Absence of God VII," 2008 by Raqib Shaw.
