We visit the Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone, who presents his pictures and sculptures. For Rondinone art has a shamanistic potential that he wants to use to revolutionize the viewer.

Ugo Rondinone (b. 1964) lives and works in New York. In this video he presents his multifaceted works, which span paintings, sculptures, installation, drawings, videos and more. Rondinone says he is constantly working his way towards an open form of expression where new images give rise to more new images and idioms.

Recorded in New York, October 2011. Interview by Christian Lund, Louisiana Museum of Modern Art.
